Kent Association for the Blind

Working with over 12,000 people in Kent and the surrounding areas, Kent Association for the Blind are one of the largest and most respected local sight loss charities in the UK. They work to prevent avoidable sight loss, deliver excellent support services and enable people to get involved and live independently.
KAB understand that everyone’s needs are different and provide a comprehensive range of support services to help people maintain their day to day lives. This ranges from rehabilitation to equipment and social clubs depending on the individual needs of each person.
They also work closely with communities and businesses across the region to increase awareness of eye health and the prevention of avoidable sight loss. Their aim is to bring people together to help anyone with sight impairment live a fulfilling and independent life.
The Music Man Project

Founded by the UK’s Disability and Access Ambassador for Arts and Culture and Churchill Fellow, David Stanley BEM, The Music Man Project is a multi-award-winning, world record-breaking international music education charity for people with learning disabilities. It provides accessible music tuition leading to inspirational performances, gives grants for accessible arts education, promotes equal access to performance, carries out research and raises awareness of the achievements of disadvantaged people in the arts.
Led by their world famous Global Ambassadors, The Music Man Project performed critically acclaimed original productions at the West End’s London Palladium and the iconic Royal Albert Hall. They entertained members of the Royal Family, opened a national TV advert, appeared on the BBC, ITV and Sky TV, and recorded with His Majesty’s Bands of the Royal Marines.

YES! Our Charity Open Day 2025 is open to all on the day!

There is limited parking onsite with a majority of surrounding roads permit only.

Our Charity Open Day is free to enter but we will require your contact details upon arrival for licensing regulations.
A Donation bucket will be on the door so please give generously where possible.

There are no age restrictions but parents/carers are responsible for their children at all times. Children of all ages are also welcome to our live evening entertainment.
We have fun activities for all ages including children so make sure you come and get involved!

We accept both cash & card payments on the bar only. All Charity Day activities are cash only so please bring plenty of change with you!

Food will be available on the day from approximately 13:00 - 16:30 from our catering van which will be located outside.
Burgers, Hot Dogs and Ice Cream will be on offer.
This will be cash only.

We have a whole host of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available from the bar. Beers, wines and spirits are on offer whilst we also have a selection of soft drinks.
Bar snacks (Crisps, Nuts and Chocolate) are also available.
Card and Cash are accepted.

Sadly your furry friends will have to stay at home as we are unable to allow them into the premises.

Due to limited parking in the local area, we advised taking public transport where possible.

By Train:
Services are operated by Southeastern. The nearest train station to the venue is Gillingham Railway Station. This is approximately a 20 minute walk. Local Taxis are also available on the rank at the side of the station.
By Bus:
We are served by several bus links in the local area.
